How I Keep the Streak Alive
Hey there! So, I want to tell you about this amazing writer named Eve Arnold.
She's super popular on Medium right now.
Want to know why?
Well, in the past three years,
She has done some incredible things:
- Published over 1000 articles while working a regular job.
- Gained more than 61,000 followers.
- Got other creators to talk about her and her hard work.
It took her three whole years before anyone really noticed her work. That's some serious dedication!
Now, I've been writing for less than a year, but I've managed to publish over 300 articles in a row. That's a lot of writing! I've never been this consistent with anything before, except maybe brushing my teeth.
But you know what?
Sometimes I get discouraged because not many people read my articles or follow me. It can be really draining and make me want to stop writing altogether. But after writing for so long, I've come to realize just how challenging this journey can be.
When I first started, I thought it would be easy to build an audience and get lots of people to read my work. Boy, was I wrong! It's not as simple as it seems.
But you know what?
Easy tasks don't give you great results. It's the hard tasks that really make a difference.
So, if you're just starting out and want to build an audience, let me share my experience of writing every day for 300 days:
- It's a never-ending game. You have to keep going.
- You learn to handle failures better.
- You stop worrying about how many followers you have.
- Your expectations and reality only align after you put in the work.
- Most successful writers spent years doing the same thing before they got recognized.
Writing on the internet can be lonely. It feels like you're shouting into a void, hoping someone will notice you. But on tough days, I remind myself that most people give up when things get tough.
By taking consistent action, I can stand out from the crowd.
I hope this article prepares you instead of scaring you away from joining this journey. Because when you do, it helps you manage your emotions and actions better. So, keep writing and never give up!
